a big waste of your time

03:01 am - vomit in 3..2..1...
I know these euphoric "I'm in love with Boston" entries are stupid and get old before they're even posted. But whatever.
Lunch today was hilarious, just like old times, looking around and being able to see all these random people at different tables and just waving. And White Mountain was awesome... especially the new banana flavor, even if I let it melt on the T. And I went shoe-shopping with Courtney on Newbury (which I didn't realize how much I missed) and then we stumbled across The Pat McGee Band in concert in Copley Square. It was perfect. And and and and and. It's stupid things and really important things. Food and friends.
So I promise no more. Just painted bison. That's what you come here for anyway.

03:38 pm - Always Believe in BC
Perhaps the cheesiest Superfan t-shirt motto ever.
Anyway, I love that nothing changes. I love that I can come back here and it is just the coolest feeling ever because it is so comfortable and so normal and bah, I can't describe it.
Well, some things change. The new dorm is enormous. Who knew six floors could be that tall? The way it now dominates Lower makes me feel a little less sorry for the seniors that are living there. It's pretty bad-ass (LiveJournal told me to hyphenate this. Haha.), so as DLEEBS says, Don't Hate the Gate.
For the first time, I actually feel like I missed out on something here last year. I have no regrets about spending the year abroad... I wouldn't have changed it for the world. Well, I sort of had the world. But the off-campus shenanigans are pretty sweet when the people living there are actually your friends and not random upper-classmen who you're begging to let YOU pay THEM five bucks to go upstairs to their apartment and drink.
And drink we have. Last night was my glorious reunion with the 507 crew, currently 1657, soon to be A52&A54. In the words of one Jason Mayer, "it's going to be fuckin' great year!" I actually didn't make it back to Chiswick until today at 1pm, only after a long night, some heavy-duty labor, and an absolutely beautiful meal at Anna's Tacqueria. Taco Tuesdays, here we come!
To be honest, while I love being back --make that Love, capital L-- I also have this strange image of school in my head and it's not BC... it's Queen's. That became so much of a day-in day-out reality for me that it'll take a while to get used to the idea that I am actually back here. But making up for lost time with some of the best people I know isn't a bad way to start. Later!
PS Not to worry, Grant, I got a shot with the buffalo inside the airport terminal. Scared a woman in the process, but check that off the list! Picture coming soon.

01:20 am - bye bye bye (--*nsync)
I can't say I'm not going to miss all of this tomfoolery.
We are just little narcissistic and like taking pictures. Of ourselves.
I'm in the midst of packing for my return to Boston tomorrow (today), which makes me want to gouge one of my eyes out and throw it at the wall. But I found this bulletin board that I used freshman and sophomore year, and it had a fortune cookie thing that said, "You need to leave in order to make a triumphant return." So that's what I did. Heed the advice of the Chinese, people. It will do you well.
By the way, will everyone please notice that sophomore has two o's? I will slap you if you ever write sophmore. Thanks.
See you in the Bean!

12:44 am - bison!
"Are you guys from out of town?"
Uhhh, no, we just like to trapse across the city taking pictures of ourselves. There is a temporary exhibition of all these painted buffalo in downtown Oklahoma City so today was spent visiting sixty-three of them.

PS Before anyone else says it, I realize that sporting the Oklahoma t-shirt makes me look like an exchange student from India out on the town with my host family...

12:49 am - Rescue 9-1-1
What a great show. And now I think I could act in it, if only they would bring it back! To gain as many cool points as humanly possible, the Roy siblings took a CPR & First Aid class together today. We walked in late (naturally) and found the room, only to be greeted by a woman called Sheila who was about as old as dirt. Maybe a little older. We all just sort of grumbled...me due to the image of her slapping our hands with rulers if we did anything wrong. But she actually turned out to be a riot which made the eight hours less painful. Soon enough, we found ourselves on the floor making out with the mannequins. After checking the scene for safety, you have to "tap and ask" the victim if they're okay and if you can help. Sheila instructed us to do as much. Another girl in the class looked up very seriously from her plastic lover and asked, "Did you say tap an ass?" It really made our day. Our laughter garnered deathly stares from another woman who just needed to bacdafucup. CPR is serious, but really. The onset of A.D.D. wasn't helped when we were also told that sometimes it's helpful to "double the glove." Not what we learned in sex-ed, Sheila!
